Last night I met up with some friends from my undergrad years, the "2oobs" as we've been lovingly nicknamed by a friend of a friend, to attend a Jays vs. Yankees baseball game. The game itself was not so exciting (aside from a grand slam and a home run by the Yankees), but the Barenaked Ladies sang the national anthems! Also, it was nice to be back downtown, nice to be back with friends, and nice to get a big tall lemonade!
Not Sprite. Not fizzy lemon-lime. LEMONADE. It was delicious and is one of the items on the "pros" side of my being at home list. (I don't actually have a list written out anywhere, but the mental list in my brain is growing longer every day... I won't say which column is longer.)
Tonight I am going to another game with my parents and brother... better seats, hopefully a better game. The crowd last night was D-E-A-D.
I don't have too much else to report. The Toronto International Film Festival is on, so I'm on the lookout for celebrities. Will let you know if I come across any. Perhaps Brangelina will want to come round mine for some hard boiled eggs and crackers (my lunchtime meal of choice today). Perhaps not.
P.S. This photo is NOT from last night's game. It's from a game last summer, when the Yankees were in town and the Skydome was appropriately filled.
