My 26th birthday is in two days and I am finally excited for it. I haven't sorted out plans for the day/night of my birthday but tomorrow night I'll be celebrating with Dave (who is celebrating his 25th birthday today!) and then on Friday with a group of friends downtown. So far it's looking like it will be a wonderful night!
In other news... well, not much other news to be honest. I have sent off my resume to a bunch of random places recently and haven't had much luck. Well, that's not true: I haven't had any luck. I'm still optimistic that things are going to turn around very soon, and I'm finally picking up some of the slack that's been holding me down over the last two months. I'm working on my resume and cover letters and researching a few options for the next few months. Next week, I'm putting on a nice outfit and hitting the town to sell myself to the highest bidder... so to speak.
I've gotten another haircut and am very happy with it. I've been window shopping and have tried on a few really cute outfits lately and am liking the way things are fitting/looking these days. Who knew that forcing myself to go to the gym actually would have an effect! (Yes, I knew it would, better keep at it!)
So things are looking good. Despite the fact that I'm nowhere near where I had hoped I would be by the middle of May (financially and otherwise), I am feeling very good about the road ahead. The plan is still London by the end of September and though I've pretty much resolved to stay in Toronto until then, I would move there beforehand if offered a job. So here we go.

Also, I've been reading Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby and really enjoying it. Next on my book list is either Angels and Demons by Dan Brown, or Barack Obama's The Audacity of Hope but I have yet to decide which genre I want to delve into next.
