I leave at 6:35pm today and as I look at the clock and see the dreadful 1:39am time staring back in my face, I am reminded of how much I love and hate packing. If I were flying British Airways both to and from the UK I would enjoy packing much, much more than I am enjoying it tonight. Because I am flying home on Air Transat I have to make sure that my luggage (including the oh-so-heavy suitcase itself) doesn't exceed 10kg. *sigh*
All of my clothes (well nearly all) that I plan to bring are currently tossed on my bed. The makeup/toiletry items have yet to be riffled through to determine what I can't live without for four weeks. Note to self: they have shops in England and anything you can't fit or anything you forget most likely can be purchased on the other side of the pond.
So all packing woes aside, I am VERY excited for this trip. It doesn't feel quite real that in just over twenty four hours I will be seeing the first of many wonderful faces that I have been longing to see for months now. It occurred to me that Rupert is the only one I've actually seen since I've been home, thanks to the technical wizardry that is the webcam. I am sure most of my dear friends look the same, but as I know these past five months have been both kind and unkind to me, I have to acknowledge that they may have changed them as well... oh the anticipation really gets me going.
I am drinking coffee to get me back on the high that I lost while playing Top Gear on Super Nintendo with my brother, while sitting crossed-legged on a very hard wooden floor. Note to self: invest in some bedroom furniture to make television watching and video game play more enjoyable/comfortable.
*ramble, ramble*
The point of this entry is to apologise for my predicted absence over the next four weeks. I know I will be online checking email and the like, but I don't know how often I'll be able to access this site to update y'all on my travels. So, between now and 19 February if you miss me you probably have another means by which to get in touch with me, so please do so.
One last thing: Because I haven't commented properly on the films I've seen in the last month, I will give you a list of approved and disapproved films and will elaborate for anyone who may be interested.
Approved:
P.S. I Love You
Cloverfield (saw a free screening)
Sweeney Todd
Disapproved:
Mad Money (saw a free screening) - this film has actually been added to my list of "Worst Movies Ever", not to be confused with my other infamous list, "Movies I Hate."
The list toppers from the above mentioned lists are:
Worst Movies Ever:
Stuck on You
Movies I Hate:
Minority Report
That's all I have to say at the moment. If I find that I am inspired again before I leave you will hear from me... but for now, have a lovely few weeks.
x

I am truly jealous of your trip. I hope you have a wonderful time and if you see Simon, please give him a great big hug from me. And if you get the chance - though the blog is most definitely not a priority while you are galavanting around England - please keep us updated. xo
