back to the movies

Tonight I saw the new Coen Brothers' film, Burn After Reading. Now, while I can't decide if this is a good movie worth recommending to friends and family, I can say that I enjoyed it.

George Clooney looks deliciously handsome (as usual), Brad Pitt has taken on his familiar clumsy/blonde persona that I haven't seen for some time now, and John Malkovich is great (again, as usual). Frances McDormand I could've done with less of, same goes for Tilda Swinton (but mainly because I didn't love her character, and not due to overacting which was the reason I would've preferred less of the aformermentioned actor).

There was one particularly funny scene between Brad Pitt and George Clooney, and it might've been the highlight of the film for me. Funny enough, they didn't even exchange any lines of dialogue in this scene, but it was priceless.

Not sure this is your typical Coen Brothers' film, but it certainly isn't a typical film - whatever that means.

Yes, I enjoyed it.
